About The Uncordinated Gamer

Hello, my name is Doug, and I'm an Uncoordinated Gamer.

I started gaming back in the days of Zork and Akalabeth and immediately became a slave to a good story. Moving on to the classic Sierra and Lucas Arts adventure games and then eventually delving into Shooters and Action games, I've come to appreciate all genres of gaming. The problem is, despite experience, my skill level just isn't there; regardless, I continue to play and love a wide variety of games, even if they take me five times longer than a fifteen year old to finish.

Some examples of my favorite games are the Monkey Island series, the Ultima series, Fallout / Fallout 2, and Oblivion. Game reviews are highly subjective and hopefully having some insight as to my likes / dislikes when it comes to gaming and my background will help you weight my reviews appropriately.

I now play games primarily on a PC and the Xbox 360, but also own a Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. The goal of setting up this site is the provide commentary on modern games for individuals who are in the same situation that I'm in and hopefully open them up to taking a chance with some new titles / genres that they might find entertainment in which they wouldn't have considered before. Hopefully you enjoy the site and I encourage all fellow uncoordinated gamers to contribute to it with news and reviews of their own.
